It's Pink!
Anyone who knows Jack, knows how much he loves the color pink. (Much to Craig's disappointment.) When my MOPS magazine came this month with a recipe for pink applesauce, I knew Jack would be ecstatic. (Making applesauce together is a favorite activity of ours, and something we like to do together during Maren's naps.) Jack was a little confused when I didn't peel the apples, but when he learned the skin was going to turn the applesauce pink, he let me continue. As usual, Jack ate almost as many bites of apples as he put into the steamer basket, and the applesauce was a huge success. Here's the recipe for Jack's now "favorite" applesauce:
PINK APPLESAUCE
1. steam 4 red apples (we like pink ladies)
2. blend with 1 and 1/2 tsp. lemon juice, 1/2 C. water, and white sugar to taste
